LinkedIn Announces New ‘Endorsement’ Capabilities
LinkedIn has had the capability to recommend a connection, but they just announced that it is easier to “endorse” someone in your network.
Read Mike Byrnes’ Financial Advisor article to:
- Learn about the new “Skills & Expertise” functionality
- Know how to get started endorsing
- Understand why the SEC and FINRA should update their old rules restricting advisor testimonials

Mike,
Thank you for writing your article on LinkedIn’s new Endorsement feature. I think “Endorsement” is a great way for people to acknowledge, very quickly and easily, the skills of others without needing to write a recommendation. I hope it is not taken away by any governing organizations. Reagrds, Andy Graham

Thanks for the info on this new LinkedIn feature! I’ll be interested to see how Compliance Departments address endorsements – will these been seen as “testimonials”? And will advisors use this functionality anyway?
